Devil's-bit scabious /Tamaid y Cythraul / Succisa pratensis

This is a common plant of damp meadows, distinguishable from the equally common field scabious by its smaller, less showy flowers and narrower leaves.  These plants were photographed near Fowey, Cornwall.
