My cousin Tony in 1931.  The photo was taken at Jerome's Studios in Woolwich, where my mother was a colourist.  This is an example of her work.  (There was no colour photography at that time and photos had to be coloured by hand, if at all).  Of the many jobs my mother had in her life, she always said this was her favourite.
