James Cowen kindly sent some images showing the Order of Service for the 2012 Founders' Day service in the parish church of Chipping Barnet, also the invitation and menu for the annual OE Dinner at the school. These are both arranged as PDF sets. I've included a photo James took at the dinner of old boys of Harrison's House. Having achieved my Promised Span, I was thinking that perhaps I'd mellowed into a rather cosy tolerance, even enjoyment of such events, but I'm afraid these documants provoke a rather uneasy sensation - an arousal of ancient rusty rebelliousness, a depressing feeling that nothing had changed or is going to change. That's to say, I can't imagine dragging myself back to the 1950s for either event.
