The school hall in 2015
Nick Dean took this picture of the school hall on Founders Day 2015. It's difficult to spot any changes since your webmaster was there in the 1950s. Oh, but where is the piano, which was used in concerts and for lunchtime recitals?
The picture was taken from the same gallery to which the select little group of school dinner refuseniks, which included me, were banished in order to eat our sandwiches. From there I used to gaze down upon the unfortunate masses struggling with their gristly meat and lumpy mash. The hall had to double as the refectory in those days, the tables being brought out after assembly by the form whose turn it was, and put back after lunch.
