This picture was kindly contributed by
Nigel Palmer via James Cowen. Towering above them all at the back is Nigel himself. Some of you may remember the condition of this picture as it once appeared here and will be convinced that this is from a different print. In fact, Jas Cowen had the original print miraculously restored by
Castle Cameras of Salisbury.
No date has been supplied but I suppose the picture is from the early '60s.
The following identification is the result of a complex joint effort by
Jas Cowen, Nigel Palmer, Derek White and myself:
BACK ROW: (from viewer's left to right): 1. Keith Davey, 2. Goldstein, 3. Alan 'Ned' Calvert, 4. Fawcett 5. Nigel Palmer, 6. Emery (?) 7. James 'Jas' Cowen.
MIDDLE ROW: 1. Keeley, 2. Newton, 3. Plumb, 4. Wormald, 5. Bond, 6-8 ??
FRONT ROW: 1. Simpson, 2. Snazell, 3. Harrison, 4. Hill, 5. Horner, 6 Tarry, 7. Edmonds, 8. Woodford
Jas is puzzled by this photo. It appears, he thinks, to have been taken at about the same time as the
other Harrison's photo, yet there are less people in it and housemaster Pinnock is missing. I rough-dated the other photo earlier just because I thought Nigel, Gordon Horner and Simpson looked younger in that one. Now I'm not so sure
