Stapylton House in 1953

Alan Pyle supplied this picture of Stapylton House in 1953. The first and second years are sitting on the ground. Sitting on chairs behind them are the 6th form, House Master Covington, the House Captain and prefects. Alan himself is second from left (as viewed) in that row. Standing behind them are the 3rd and 4th forms and the 5th form is standing on raised benches at te back.

Had this been 1954, I would have been among those sitting on the ground.
