It would be a considerable understatement to say that the swimming pool shown in the two colour images is an improvement on the one on the left that your webmaster and his contemporaries remember ! The 1950 picture was was kindly contributed by Alan Pyle, who says it was taken on Founder's Day, probably with a Box Brownie (I sharpened it up a bit).
