Easily distinguished from common mallow by the deeply cut leaves and broad petals, this plant is not very common and usually seems to grow by roadsides. That's exactly where I found this specimen, near Deri in Caephilly County Borough. It has very many Welsh names, of which I've picked the two that may be most common. |
