CONNECTION WITH QE:Pupil 1990s

I wonder if somebody could inform me of the whereabouts of Messrs Jones (English Literature), Byshovetsokov (Russian) and Oulton (History).  These were my dearest teachers and I wonder if they have perhaps retired; they would be of a retiring age.

I have no idea about about the Russian teacher or the history teacher.  And I presume that you're not talking about Dr Jones... since you say that they are of retiring age.  So I believe that none of these teachers are here anymore, unless they are teachers which I've met but don't actually know.

Oulton was still there when I left in '06.  The Russian teacher certainly left before 1999, and my year was the last to be offered the subject, as it happens.  I was in Mr Jones last ever class, as he taught us A-Level 2004-5 part time, before leaving at the end of that year.  In spite of his retirement, he couldn't keep away from the school, and I think he did some cover work the year after.  He was, without doubt, the best teacher I've had !

Mr Oulton was my history teacher and head of year.  A great man and a brilliant teacher.  I was a little naughty back then, but he always treated me with patience and fairness.  His teaching has had a profound effect upon my view of the world and my analysis of the masses of information available to us today.  If you read this Mr Oulton, thank you.  And sorry for any grief you had from me!  Warmest Regards.

Mr Oulton was my A level history teacher who inspired my love of the subject and was without doubt the best teacher I had at the school.  A firm but fair man who had a real passion for the subject.
