Reunion, anyone? Rivetting memories, guys! I can't believe the place was as bad
as we make it out to be ... otherwise how could we be such sane,
upstanding individuals? :)
I'd lie to meet up with my contemporaries - it's just over 50
years since I first went there, and won't be around for much
longer!

Ah, Mr Bibby...I remember you, or at least I remember your
name. I too have been getting nostalgic about my time at
Q.E so last year I went to the Eric Shearly Memorial Rugby
Match on a kind of 'recce', to pay my respects to the old
feller and to see if I recognised anyone. I didn't. Not a
soul! There were lots of 'old farts' there like me but
none that I recognised - and presumably none that
recognised me either. I did speak to one or two people but
they were all in their 30's and all deeply uninterested in
my memories!
So...I'm not sure about your reunion proposal, John. Someone once said
that you cannot go back so perhaps we should leave it at
that!
There is one thing that I would like to do however. That
is to quietly wander around the school on my own to see if
I bump into any of those ghosts that still come to me from
time to time.

Hi Martyn - just seen your reply - lots of sound sense in what you say! But I think Vic's site is brilliant - I have just added a
link to it in Wikipedia.
