NAME: James (Jas) Cowen Then & NowI have found a kindred spirit in talking about aviation and air shows with the manager of the nearby undertakers office in Ludgershall, where I live now. We do however differ in views about the future conduct of air shows after the Shoreham Airshow crash on to the A27 where 11 people died. He says that these things happen in life and airshows should be allowed to carry on with acrobatic manoeuvres over land around the airports. (Maybe its because he's an undertaker!) I think restrictions should be brought in and at least they be only done over sea. Bad luck for those who want shows not by the sea! There is a bit of a Titanic mentality at times. (Nothing can go wrong with what we do.) Why should outsiders suffer for the fans of air shows? I would be livid if one of my family died similarly. After the 1952 Farnborough Airshow crash there were restrictions brought in and I think there should be in regard to the Shoreham one.
